Anyone who has visited this beautiful city can’t fail to have been impressed by the wonderful architecture on show.  Streets of narrow tall houses in many decorative styles and colours line the banks of the canals.  Using black gutta, this will be a workshop for the more confident silk painter.

Inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh

Famous for inspiring the ‘Glasgow Style’ Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a Scottish architect, designer and water colourist in the Art Nouveau style.  His most famous building was the Glasgow School of Art where he designed every aspect from metalwork to furnishings.  In our workshop we shall produce silk painted cards inspired by elements of his designs and a silk suncatcher inspired by the famous Mackintosh Rose.
