I have a stand at this amazing annual event alongside 50+ fellow members of Peak District Artisans. The Fair takes place under the iconic Devonshire Dome in Buxton on the site of the Buxton Campus of Derby University and features high quality art & craft made in the Peak District, demonstrations, talks, Silent Auction etc. The Fair is open from 10am – 4.30pm on Sat 16th & Sun 17th July, Preview Evening Fri 15th July 7-9pm. Admission is free.
‘I am exhibiting 3 original silk paintings of the Peak District in this Buxton Festival Fringe exhibition alongside 30+ members of the High Peak Artists Group. The exhibition is located in the Art Café @ The Pavilion Gardens, Buxton and is open daily from 6th July – 4th September.
The Buxton Fringe is the largest outside Edinburgh and runs alongside the Buxton Festival from 6th-24th July
The Silk Museum on Park Lane follows the full journey through the industrial process of silk making; explore silk from the cocoon to the loom. With plenty of hands-on exhibits for children and adults alike. The Museum houses our permenant exhibition which explores the properties of silk, design education, Macclesfield's diverse textile industries, workers lives, Macclesfield Silk during the war and historic machinery - as well as hosting temporary exhibitions
The Gallery is the Home of theHigh Peak Artists group. Situated at the heart of the award winning Pavilion Gardens in Buxton, Derbyshire, it contains the work of 43 local artists and craftspeople from the High Peak.
Work on display includes paintings, ceramics, jewellery, photography, textiles, turned wood, glass, embroidery, calligraphy, linocuts and etchings and a large selection of prints.
